Rey Ann has been teaching in and directing Montessori schools for the past 30 years, and has helped open several Montessori programs on both the East and West Coasts. She is American Montessori Society (AMS) trained, receiving her credentials from the Montessori Western teacher training program. She has an Early Childhood Development and Child Psychology background from Mesa College in San Diego and Long Beach State College in California.
Rey Ann lives in Middletown with her husband.
Peg McKenna has been with Montessori Centre of Barrington Toddlers since September 2009. Ms. Peg’s educational background includes an Associate degree in Child Care from Bristol Community College, and a BA in Psychology from Southeastern Massachusetts University. Peg is currently enrolled in Bristol Community College for her Early Childhood certification.
After graduation, Peg worked in the field of Human Services with developmentally disabled adults for nine years. She has worked with young children for the past twenty years. Initially, Ms. Peg provided home day care for her family for fifteen years. Then she joined Bright Ideas Preschool in Middletown, RI for three years. Her experience at Bright Ideas included two years of infant care and one year as preschool teaching assistant.
Ms. Peg has a strong commitment and passion for working with young children. We are happy to have her talents.
We are pleased to have Ms. Jessica Sweeney join our Toddler staff. Ms. Jessica has taught toddlers, preschoolers and elementary aged children over the past eleven years. A graduate of Karuna Yoga Center, Suffolk University and the Community College of RI, Jessica holds an Early Childhood Certificate, and has worked as a children's yoga instructor and as a nanny. Jessica's hobbies include creative writing and practicing yoga; she lives in Providence with her husband and their dog. Jessica is a great asset to MCB Toddlers.
