Ms. Stella earned a degree in education, and worked in a Montessori program in Niteroi in the Rio de Janeiro area of Brazil. She also holds a Rhode Island Early Childhood certificate, and has developed programs in private and public schools in Brazil and the United States.
Ms. Stella loves living in New England, and spending time with her two children, Diego and Tatiana. Stella has been teaching for over twelve years, and we are happy to have her in our program. She is wonderful with the toddlers.
Mariel has two degrees and a strong background in music and music education. In addition to being a music teacher in the Providence schools she has also worked summers running the music portions of the Linden Place Cultural Arts Camp in her hometown of Bristol and the Rhode Island Scholar-Athlete Games in Kingston. Ms. Mariel has a son who attends our Montessori Toddler program. She is excited to be part of the new Toddler program, sharing her knowledge and joy of music with the children.
In her spare time she enjoys playing piano, swimming and cooking.
We are pleased to welcome Margaret (Peg) McKenna to our Toddler staff. Peg has an Associate degree in Child Care from Bristol Community College, and a BA in Psychology from Southeastern Massachusetts University.
Ms. McKenna has many years of experience with both toddlers and preschoolers, and she loves to work with young children. We are happy to have her talents.
