The Montessori Centre is proud to offer on-site private yoga, children’s theatre and piano lessons for enrolled students. Each of these classes start in October – information is sent home to families by the individual instructors. Fees for these classes are determined by the instructor and are paid directly to them.
Ms. Janine Musto is a certified nutritionist and fitness specialist who has been helping people be active and make healthy lifestyle choices for the past twenty years.
She works with the young, the young at heart, and everyone in between. Ms. Janine provides both children and adults with the right tools to help make smart choices when it comes to nutrition and activities that will last a lifetime.
Ms. Janine is a licensed certified nutritionist (AHSU), a certified personal trainer (NFPT), a certified personal fitness chef (NESTA) and is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals.
Janine has taught yoga at Montessori Centre for five years, and is wonderful with the children.
Ms. Jennifer Costa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Rhode Island College. Her piano playing ability began in elementary school where she was introduced to technique and fundamentals. She entered competition in Rhode Island and Massachusetts based on age level and playing ability.
In college she continued her studies by taking a keyboarding class and passing piano proficiencies to master her degree at Rhode Island College.
We are pleased to have Ms. Jennifer a part of our Montessori extracurricular activities.
Classes are taught by seasoned theatre instructor Heather Kiely. Ms. Kiely has been teaching drama and directing plays for youth of all ages throughout Rhode Island since she returned “back home” in 2007. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah University, and has lived and taught theatre in Chicago and New York City. Heather is thrilled to be back for a third year at Montessori Centre.
